(2) - One on the drivers side right behind the cab
of the truck (on the front panel). One lock on the rear
of the back cover
of latches: Two (2) latch mechanisms that latch
all 4 corners down to truck
of Cover: 25 lbs (vs. 75+ lbs for the Ford
Sport Trac Cover).
of Hinges: 1 Piano Hinge that runs the width
of the truck bed at the center. Each
panel has a slam latch that latches the cover down to
the bed of the truck. Once
latched down, you simply lock the front panel and the
rear panel down to lock the cover closed.
of Gaskets: 2 D Shaped Seals (like a windshield
wiper) on each side rail
(these are high quality rubber gaskets with a peel and
stick polymer adhesive on the underside for easy installation).
Accessible without unlocking/unlatching rear panel? YES.
When you unlock your tailgate on your Sport Trac, you
can swing open the tailgate and slide things into the
truck bed without ever opening the cover (if you had a
fiberglass cover, you would have to unlock the cover and
raise a fairly heavy cover upwards a couple of inches
just to open up the tailgate). Not so with this cover.
